Installment Plan

George Bush asked for another $81.9 billion today to fight the War on Terror, added to the $201 billion already spent. Feeding the fires of democracy in Iraq and Afghanistan, the majority of this, strangely, will be spent at home.

Bush Requests $82B for Iraq, Afghan Wars

Funny how the oil thing works. Oil sales were supposed to pay for the war, which wasn't supposed to be about plundering for oil. The President asks for money to pay Big Oil to protect the fields and begin the payback. Oil flows, Big Oil makes money, the price of crude goes up, and big oil makes money. Some local guys blow up the oil wells, the price of crude goes up, Big Oil comes back to the President who comes back to Congress to get more money to pay Big Oil. THAT money will no doubt come from an oil tax, specifically for fighting the war on terror. Wanna see a chart?
